chicago weather ruins my life.

I had big plans this morning... epic plans really. Okay, I'm lying. All I wanted to do, though, was run outside. You'll see why I can't in a minute.

I did overnight oats this morning! Yum - I love having my food waiting for me in the morning.

In the bowl: 1/3 cup oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 smashed naner, 1 tbsp flax. topped with: a blueberry circle 'o fun, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and tons of cinnamon.

These were the blueberries I got at the farmer's market on Saturday. They are awesome!

So, I apologize for the screen in the way, but this is why I cannot run outside. We have been having these crazy storms in the Chicagoland area recently. The clouds have been ridiculous.

everyone do me a favor and start praying right now it doesn't look like this on July 30. Outdoor weddings make me nervous!
I guess I'll suck it up and go do the eliptical or something at the gym. I lifted on Saturday and my arms still really hurt! Before I go though, I'm going to the chiropractor. I am a firm believer in chiropractic care/natural medicine. One of the many reasons why my sister tells me I'm going to be a "hippie mom" when I have children. But, when you hear what my doctor has to say on the back of his business cards, I think you'll agree that it just "makes sense":
"Why I am Doctor of Chiropractic"
Because I honor the inborn poterntial of everyone to be truly healthy. Because I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope. Because I choose to care for the patient with the disease, not the disease. Because I wish to assist rather than intrude, to free rather than control. Because I seek to correct the cause, not it's effect. Because I know doctors do not heal, only the body can heal iself. Because I have been called to serve others. Because I want to make a difference. Because everyday I get to witness miracles.
Because I know it is right.
- Dr. Scott Stratton
Makes sense, no? Anyways, today I am going for a trial for my wedding day hair! I'm really excited! I'm not taking any pictures though - well, nothing that will be shown to anyone but me. I want FH to be surprised!

  2. Agreed about the Chicago weather! It's such a crap shoot all the time! Sorry to hear you had to hit the gym... I don't think I'm even going to risk trying the trail tonight. It's happened before when I've been mid-run and a downpour hits. I'm not that lucky of a person... lol
